Production & Impact
Year after year, heat production at Stargard Geothermal is increasing and thus reducing the share of fossil fuel energy in the overall heating balance of the city. We anticipate that in the near future, thanks to development and new - expensive - investments in further wells, we will be able to provide 100% of the energy necessary to heat the city.

Heat sales data in 2023, 2024 and 2025
The winters of 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 were recorded as relatively mild and above the long-term norms, which influenced the lower demand for heat from conventional coal sources. Thanks to the stable brine temperature (approx. 84°C), geothermal was able to cover most of the demand on its own during transitional periods and during warmer winter days.
Heat production data for 2012-2025
Since 2012, Stargard Geothermal has moved from the resumption of operations to the status of one of the leaders of renewable energy in Poland, gradually increasing energy production. Thanks to new wells and infrastructure upgrades, the share of green heat in the urban grid has increased from around 30% in 2020 to around 60% in 2025. Such dynamic development allowed Stargard to create an efficient energy system, which today serves as a model for other municipalities drawing on our expertise.
Measurable savings scale
Learn about our contribution to reducing pollution - the number of coal wagons that did not enter our city each year illustrates the scale of the savings in harmful emissions.
